This is a shortie, because the actual sentiment is in the letter linked at the bottom of the post.
Like just about everyone else here, I am disgusted by the media focus on the trivial while ignoring the atrocious. My sentiments are not unique in the left blogosphere, but at least the San Francisco Chronicle gave them a voice in today's paper.
Here it is. My letter is second from the top.
Responding to a comment, I have copied the letter after the fold.
Steady diet of Wright
Editor - Apparently "the media" think that the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who is not running for anything, is the most important story of the day. Those of us who are not "the media" would like "the media" to examine how a bunch of retired generals, most well connected to defense industries and prepped by the Pentagon, used "the media" to sell the Iraq war.
We would like to see an in-depth examination of how the United States came to justify torture of prisoners at the top of the chain of command and what measures can be taken to stop this atrocity.
But all we get is Rev. Wright.
