If it helps, I RElland do hereby apologize to any and all who have read my comments in the past that were against, insulting towards, or, was perceived as "Hillary Bashing".
I promise from this point forward to do my best not to do so any further.
Moreover, I will also do my best to not be smug.
I liked Hillary Clinton up until the "Sky will open" remarks against Obama's speaking style, so I've always been more than a bit disappointed with her attempted path towards victory.
I will also do my best to try to make amends and I hope that others will as well. This has been started, and I also hope a few people can try to apologize as well.More importantly, perhaps even more than apologizing for my remarks.
I for one do apologize to those on DailyKos who have supported Hillary Clinton for the insults I have made in the past.
I would also like to offer this as a place for others who may feel the same but were waiting for someone else to start to add their own apologies in the comments section below.
It does not hurt one, and it can at least start a healing process that will be needed for November.
And honestly, Hillary bashing was wrong in the end. She was fighting for her one chance at the biggest and most powerful seat in the country.
Not one of us can understand how much a lure of power that truly is. Not really. She is the wife of a former sitting President. Every day Hillary watched the ins and outs of power from the Oval Office.
She knew the cost, and she still wanted it.
In that, I give her kudos.
As for the rest... I can forgive it. I would if she won. Maybe I would not like to vote for her, but I would just the same.
You see, in the end, I have a friend I want to stay alive and not be yanked from my life to be sent to Iraq. It may still happen, but either way, Obama or Clinton, I could see a glimmer of hope for his mental and physical well being.
And for that if nothing else, I can say it.
I'm sorry.
