Just received a letter from Hillary Clinton requesting money to support her continuation in what she terms "a neck-and-neck race," and inviting me to join her campaign.
How nice of the good senator to send a postage pre-paid envelope for my response.
Guess the Clintons managed to purchase my name from some Democratic or lefty political organization. The letter cites her performance in Pennsylvania and requests funds to support her continuation in what is termed a "neck-and-neck race."
The letter, signed "Hillary," ends with, "Thank you in advance for joining our campaign." Good grief!
Here's my response:
Dear Hillary:
Thank you for taking the time to contact me. Unfortunately, I would not dream of contributing to your campaign. Until recently, while you and I had our differences, I respected you for all that you and your husband had accomplished. However, you and Bill have, of late, unmasked yourselves as (please forgive my bluntness) sociopaths. For the first time, I understand why Republicans recognized you so easily.
Ironically, in this campaign, you and your husband have destroyed your own names and reputations far more effectively than the Republicans -- for all their money, power and media access -- ever could. I truly believe you and Bill will never recover.
You are welcome to solicit my contributions again in the future; however, please understand that you will receive the same (or very similar) response -- in your own postage prepaid envelope.
Wishing you a speedy return to your pre-campaign life,
(my name)
