In a diary about the Wisconsin delegate being removed after she said she'd support McCain since Clinton lost, route66 also highlighted in a comment another delegate squabble with a Clinton supporter spilling over in Florida.
When reading the comments in the originating Miami Herald article, I noticed a very clear pattern within the anti-Obama sentiments: NObama.
Stick with it just a bit more...
"Just Say No Deal"
AKA NObama.
Many comments reference NObama, and almost all are your basic uninformed anti-Obama trash. Expecting to find some Republican front group at the source of it all, off I bounced to find out more. Before you even wonder what kind of site is linked above, here are the top dozen links on the homepage. There are probably another 50-60 links with more "interesting" titles, but these top links should give you the idea...

And what kind of commentary would you expect from a site with the "slogan" of Nobama? As empty and vacuous as the logic within...
i blame the leaders of the DNC for steam rolling over
hillary. Everytime she won a primary a DNC leader
endorsed nobama. Her own party ganged up on her, this is
not the party i signed up for. I will support Hillary this
November, or no one
...
No, never, never Obama. I will vote McCain in 2008 so we
can have Hillary in 2012. Dump the Demo and go
Independent!
...
If the nation knew what it does now about Obama,
Hillary would be the obvious choice. I can't believe the top
Democracts in this country didn't know his views and
beliefs. They ditched Hillary hoping to catch a ride with
what was the "hot" ticket at the time. I will vote for John
McCain. He is a better "Democrat" than Obama....
...
I am a Hillary supporter who has followed a variety of
blogs and just saw you guys on FOX. Nobama for me! A
life long Democrat.
I question the honesty of their D registrations, but figured there can't be many of them out there, so I poked further. Besides the recurring Hillary links, there were plenty to this PUMA organization. Now I'm not going to condemn Sen. Clinton for having such odious supporters, but if they are truly supporters of her policies, she needs to reach out to them and get this shit under control.
What shit?
This shit.
It's not even a fortnight old - this was created after reality deemed her run futile. I was going to laugh them off, but I noticed their community seems larger & more active than I thought. So what are the PUMAs up to?
- Writing your protest letter to Howard Dean. Click here. Then come back and tell us you did it! (note: PUMAs demand a change in leadership)
- Withdrawing your membership in the Democratic Party and re-registering as an Independent....
- Request a refund of all the contributions you made to the DNC. Their bylaws require them to refund donations made within a certain time limit if requested....
- Find the names and emails of Unfaithful Superdelegates in your state who plan to ignore the will of the voters.....
- Get five friends or family members to join the Puma PAC. Tell them to visit our website, join by sending an email to join@pumapac.org, and contribute $5 to our growing movement.
Apparently not counting to 5, but that's McCain's teeth petty.
The funny thing is how these folks believe "...that the current leadership of the Democratic National Committee has abrogated its responsibility to represent the interests of all democrats in all 50 states." Wasn't their candidate the one counting a dozen or so states as the important ones, while Sen. Obama and Gov. Dean had staff in every state? Damn that logic, eh?
Just as frustrated as we were from 2000-2006, these folks will be equally as frustrated as their power slips and a real center - a difference between parties - will emerge. Which side will they choose? Meh.
My question is: how do you deal with them without providing the attention they so desparately seek?
