McCain refuses to reimburse for use of corporate jet:
Despite his campaign promise to set a "new standard for transparency and accountability," the Wall Street Journal today reports that John McCain is refusing to pay for his campaign's use of a corporate jet. Despite his previous efforts to restrict the use of corporate jets, McCain's campaign failed to reimburse the cost of "several trips last year that included campaign-related activity." The story quotes two Republican campaign lawyers saying McCain should have paid for the flights.

DNC McCain Myth Buster on immigration reform:
John McCain claims he can be trusted on immigration reform and believes that our current immigration system illustrates "an ailing Washington culture in need of reform to regain the trust of Americans." But the reality is on immigration it's hard to know where Senator McCain really stands. McCain's record on immigration reform has been anything but consistent during the course of his campaign. Not only is McCain trying to have it both ways, calling for enforcement first and comprehensive immigration reform at the same time, he acknowledged he would not vote for the very immigration bill that he had cosponsored in the past. McCain panders to his Big Oil friends:
According to media reports, Senator McCain will address the "national security implications of the country's reliance on foreign energy" today in Springfield, Missouri. What McCain won't say, however, is that his insistence on pandering to his friends in Big Oil by recycling the same old failed Bush policies will do nothing to make Americans more secure or end America's dependence on foreign oil. Not only has Senator McCain repeatedly voted against renewable energy and green jobs, but his "new" plan calls for expanding offshore oil drilling, protecting his friends in Big Oil from a windfall profits tax, and giving them a new gas tax holiday that won't reduce the price of gas. Meanwhile, his support for President Bush on the war in Iraq has helped make the Middle East less stable, which in turn has contributed to soaring oil prices.
