Perhaps you have seen the offensive photo S.C. State Senator Kevin Bryant has posted to his web site. You know, the one with a picture of Obama and a picture of Osama with the saying "the only difference is a little B.S."
What's even more shocking is that people can post directly to his site. That's right, from looking at what is posted to date, comments are not being moderatored on this politcal candidates blog! Well, well!! If I were of a mind...
Below the fold, the folks of South Carolina, and the nation, repsond
Go the Senator Bryant's site right now and tell him what you think, before he wises up and closes his system down. Better still, let's close it down for him!!!
Bryant is a moron here
So what are people saying???
Some folks directly counter the hatred and ignorance with logic and reason. While perfectly sensible to me, I'm afraid morons like Bryant lack the capacity for reason.

An elected official forwarding an agenda of ignorance and hate. And you wonder why South Carolina ranks among the lowest of the low as far as education, child health rates and high on the list of fetal death. Take care of the people you are supposed to represent before you spew your font of elistist ignorance to the rest of the world.
Sarcasm is another general response...perhaps the broad generalizations to an entire state are a bit much though.

Oh Kevin....you are so smart. And so QUALIFIED! This tshirt is just GENIUS. How did you think of it? Making the connection between Barack Obama and OSAMA bin Laden? I’m in AWE. Golly you really know your stuff.......
Classy! So classy! You South Carolinians are something to behold.
Insult. At times it can work wonders. At other times, can fall on deaf ears.

Hey Senator...you have proven you are without question unqualified to hold any office. Why? Because you allow anyone to post directly to your politcal page without moderating their comments.
Bryant is a moron here
Update:
Another great comment from Bryant's site...

Aside from the fact that this is racist against millions of innocent Muslims in the world — including many who are American citizens, it shows blatant disrespect toward a duly-elected Senator of our country.
I have survived a terrorist suicide bombing and I think it is inflammatory for you to connect the possible future president of the United States with an evil man who killed many innocent victims. If some crazy person kills Barack Obama — part of the blood could well be on YOUR hands.
I will be sending a copy of this page to my local FBI office and Secret Service Offices. Expect a visit from one of them soon.
Have a great day!!
Update #2:Several people have sent me a note that the site is giving them trouble. I also have had trouble posting any commetns. I recieve a "site under maintenance" message. I guess the unwanted atention may have crashed their site. It looks like someone may be trying to clean up the messages.
Update #3:
The State Senator speaks...
"It was meant tongue in cheek," he said, adding, "I've got some questions about Senator Obama's ties to -- such as his comment that we should negotiate with Iran. Iran's a country that would like to destroy Israel, that bothers me. But is this picture appropriate? I don't know." He let out a loud laugh. "It's gotten a lot more attention than I would have expected."
Does he think Obama is actually has terrorist ties? "I don't think he's tied to terrorists, no. I do think he's probably more sympathetic to nations that allow terrorism than I would prefer. And that's why I posted it. Am I saying that him and Osama work together? No, I'm not saying that at all."
And what religion does Bryant think Obama practices? "That's a good question. I don't know."
It goes without saying that Senator Bryant is a big supporter of John McCain. A question for the McCain campaign: Will you repudiate the ations of Senator Bryant and his posting of an offensive photo on his Republican Senate web site?
Bryant says he's supporting John McCain for president, and that he is trying to figure out how to remove the Osama-Obama image from his website. "I may put it back up, I may not," he said. "I just thought I'd take it down and think about it."
He added: "You know, blogs are for satire and whatnot and, um, that's why it's up. It's similar to the New Yorker picture. Maybe that's why this has gotten so much attention, because of that thing that came out a couple days ago."
