Palin/McCain.
What of our democracy is left?
When a ticet with such obvious lack of ...lack of.....basically all that is required to run this country competently is breaking even with a monster ticket like Obama/Biden?
Here in the South, I can tell you that the voters vote in large blocks with strong evangelical roots and racial feeling guiding their preferences.
In the North, pockets are guided by their wallets and the potential to make more money under a Red ticket.
In the West, they see their passtimes of hunting and gun ownershipi threatened by people trying to control urban crime and impose "gun control"
In the MidWest, they see their small towns referred to as bitter and clinging.
In the southwest, they see the immi-Grants coming and taking their jobs and want them out.
And of course, everyone is afraid the terrosists will come and hurt america. and we must destroy their world (everyowhere else) before they come.
That is the republican party.
And that is entrenched feelings that do not sway easily.
And they lead to George Bush, and George Bush again,,...and now offer....Sarah "PALE IN COmPRISON to everyone else ever considered for the job" Palin
Now what is the Democratic party?
Democrats believe in the little guy.
Believe in helping people overcome circumstances.
giving healthcare rights to EVERYONE
educating people, better teachers.
More middle class jobs.
getting out of wars, not into more.
Getting along with the world.
Does that all matter to people?
Probably, to many, it doesnt because they believe taht
Dems raise taxes, increase government, sell america short internationally, are afraid of the terrorists, and are in favor of creating awelfare state.
thre is so much propaganda to overcome entrenched in the minds of so many people, that THAT IS THE REASON, this election is close.
Thefacts dont matter.
ONLY these perceptions do.
ANd the republicans no how to reinforce these perceptions.
What are the perceptions the dems are creating about Palin/McCAin?
That is what will decide this election.
Not the issues.
Sadly , Rick Davis is right.
