the leader and send them a thousand emails. It worked on the Dean campaign. Here's where I'm coming from:
This morning I decided I couldn't take any more of these loosely veiled jabs at Obama.... after watching Kathy Gifford dis OBAMA.... I decided I couldn't just flip the channel. I got out my computer and wrote a letter to the editor (Today@MSNBC.com). My letter, over the fold.....
To the Editor:
Kathy Giffords insinuation this morning on `TODAY`, that Sen. Barack Obama called the Governor of Alaska a `pig with lipstick`, Mrs. Gifford then added that all her woman friends "were furious" about it, she then waved around up several misleading headlines off two trashy NYC newsrags, repeating the lie, again. When the other host finally jumped in and stated the fact that the entire story was false, that in no way did Sen. Obama say any such thing and was not just taken out of context but just completely false. So,100% of the segment Mrs. Gifford was acting. She knew it was all false, she knew exactly what she was doing... so how does she finish up the segment... by saying she was still 'disappointed' with Senator Obama. This is an outrage and not the first time Mrs. Gifford repeated a John McCain Campaign talking point that was later found to be false. This is disgraceful, it is exactly why may of us are now leaving getting our news and entertainment elsewhere.
How about you muzzle the mouth of that"warthog with lipstick".

Today@MSNBC
Then I decided to send off another one to MSNBC:
To The Editor,
I am writing for 2 reasons:
reason 1. My outrage and shock at the announcement Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews are no longer going to be the anchors for the MSNBC election specials. Why would you cancel a duo that is bringing thousands and thousands of new viewers every week. The internet is lit up nightly with emails going across the country and world, asking friends and family to turn to MSNBC?
What made this decision far worse for me was:
reason 2. The fact you are replacing these two men with David Gregory. The day Scott McClellan was interviewed on his tell all book, McClellen told several news anchors on MSNBC that the press should have asked more questions in the build up to the war, should have researched, given equal information on those who were against the war and the proof they offered, etc. Chris Matthews apologized, Keith Olbermann agreed and congratulated McClellan for finally coming clean. Both responses were honorable, taking responsibility and regretting their actions. What did David Gregory do when asked about the topic, David Gregory got ANGRY, he was furious and could hardly contain his contempt for Mr. McCellan. It was an honest and a very telling moment and I have not trusted Mr. Gregory since that day. What a profound disappointment this is for those of us who have waited 8 long years for an election where we could trust the moderators, the reporters and the results. It is our great loss.
