Is it true that McCain was NEVER tortured in Vietnam and, in fact, McCain became known as "Songbird."

In the 1992 Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA the testimony of Cpl. Bob Dugas alleges that from the day of McCain's arrival he provided classified information. Dugas could hear McCain in the room next to Dugas' cell, discussing principle targets with the Vietcong. I am amazed that the right can be so diligent about picking up any little thread about an opponents' past, twist or even fabricate it, and the liberals are so slow, if not downright timid, about looking into something this serious.
McCain supposedly cooperated with the Vietnamese News Service with 32 transcripts where vital information was revealed that affected Vietcong positional strategy and consequently American lives. Is this the reason (to the detriment of the families of MIAs) McCain has been so vehement about keeping POW records appropriated from the Vietnamese and making it US classified information? Would it expose his true participation in the Vietnamese War?
This seems to be the best kept secret in the U.S. because in going through the various websites and myspaces where this is discussed, hundreds of thousands of people have read this information, yet no viable media, who gave tremendous airtime to the Swiftboat lies, has given it any air time.
