It seems that this is lost in the kerfuffle over the hacking into Veep nominee Palin's illegally used yahoo email account.
Sure there might be plenty of interesting data there that will be made public concerning the Monegan firing. Sure we might find out that she could be justifiably impeached as Governor, if not for this violation.
But for me, the funniest part is the GOP defense of Palin, in that it ignores the very policies for which Republican John McCain and the Bush Administration have advocated for the past seven and a half years.
"This is a shocking invasion of the governor's privacy and a violation of law. The matter has been turned over to the appropriate authorities and we hope that anyone in possession of these e-mails will destroy them," the McCain campaign said in a statement.
Violation of Privacy?
Privacy, like a Right to Privacy?
You know, like the religious conservatives like to claim does not exist explicitly in the Constitution and therefore Roe v Wade is created law?
That Right to Privacy?
The Right to Privacy which Gov. Palin doesn't think exists?
This is just another day of both ways McPalin. Yesterday was Regulate/Deregulate/Regulate/Deregulate/Regulate/Deregulate.
Today, it is a Right to Privacy which the Republican Administration of President Bush has ignored in its GWOT, and which the Palin wing of the Republican Nominee Senator John McCain's Party refuses to recognize as existing.
A privacy that we deserve in our reading lists at the library and within our phone conversations with friends. A privacy that we don't have, and for which those who aided its violation are immune from punishment.
Which way do you want it Republican Senior Senator of no change McPalin?
Is there a Right to Privacy or not?
