The new VP debate format is a set up to make Palin look better. Joe Biden shouldn't lower himself to participate in the sham orchestrated by McCain. Join me below.
Three weeks ago, we were introduced to Sarah Palin. We were told about her executive experience, energy intellect, hunting prowess and parenting skills. We were told that she has more experience than anyone on the democratic ticket. With a straight face and lipstick, she has boasted about her vast knowledge of foreign affairs based on being able to see Russia from Alaska. She has plans to shake up "DC." Who calls it that?
Her pimps have been keeping her close. She can't talk to anyone but them. They let her out the other day to talk to ABC. Her answers to questions were immature. She was lost.
She then sat with her biggest ass kisser, Sean Hannity, and they had a love fest for two nights.
Couric gets the next bite at the Palin apple. That should be interesting.
Now the VP debate format is being changed to protect her because of her limited debate experience and for fear that she might be on the defensive against the more experienced and knowledgeable Biden.
Someone ought to be outraged about this. We are witnessing the dumbing down of the two highest offices in the land. We have a GOP VP nominee who attended five different schools to get one degree. We have a GOP presidential nominee who was fifth from the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy.
One day the McCain campaign is screaming sexism. The next day they are negotiating for advantage for their very under qualified VP nominee. They want her to be treated with deference and respect. That's rich. They don't treat her with deference and respect. They treat her like the low-information candidate that she is in hopes that low information voters will look the other way at her obvious lack of qualifications for the job.
This election has been turned into the political American Idol with the GOP contestants moving on the next round after getting heavy coaching from their handlers. But the VP and President positions are not talent positions. They are thinking positions. Thinking is something that neither McCain or Palin has depth. The GOP is trying to get her in the White House through the back door.
We are at the mercy of Gwen Ifil of PBS to do her job as moderator in the VP debate. We can only hope that she challenges Palin to answer questions about all of the lies and lack of experience. If you have Ifil's contact information, send her a note. She needs to know that we are counting on her to stop the charade for good.
