► Ya know, when it rains it pours: right-wing, theo-con, National Review columnist, Kathleen Parker is demanding Palin's resignation from the ticket!
"Only Ms. Palin can save Mr. McCain, her party and the country she loves."
"She can bow out for personal reasons, perhaps because she wants to spend more time with her newborn. No one would criticize a mother who puts her family first."
"Do it for your country."

Schuster: Let’s bring A.B. Stoddard, associate editor for The Hill.
A.B. I want to play you want John McSame said two days ago, when he explained his position about why the debate should be cancelled.
McSame: We must meet as Americans, not as Democrats or Republicans, and we must meet until this crisis is resolved.
Schuster: The crisis is not resolved. There no deal. So by John McSame's own standards, has he flip-flopped?
Stoddard: It's interesting to watch Joe Lieberman when he was asked this question on air today. He didn't know what to say.
Obviously he has. I mean, this is a bizarre display of leadership, really more like a circus act.
John McSame said he had to come back to Washington until this is resolved and he said he would suspend his campaign until it was resolved. There is plenty of evidence his campaign was not at all suspended and there's plenty of evidence that he was not instrumental in any kind of negotiations over this.
And at the White House was asked bout this new alternative Republican proposal, and couldn't even comment either way.
He's in a tough box. We know that. But now he's going to Mississippi to debate. So he's changed his mind. It's just a very, very bizarre event for him going into debate. Maybe he’s gonna knock it o out of the park and everyone will forget it, but I doubt it.
Schuster: It does seem like, by all accounts, he threw the ball, the Hail Mary that people were talking about. I suppose you could argue it got intercepted and returned for a touchdown, but, again, it doesn't matter if John McSame does have a strong performance tonight, the intricacies of why he went to Washington, how much he's going to participate, people aren't going to remember that, are they?
Stoddard: It depends. He's going to face tough questions. He potentially faces questions about Sarah Palin's readiness, about the economic crisis, about his decision to go to Washington to take part and then come back to the debate and, of course, about his campaign manager Rick Davis who we have learned this week was taking money from Fannie Mae, his firm was, until last month, John McSame telling voters nationally televised interview several days ago that no, he did not. There's potential difficult questions he faces tonight.
We don't know they'll be asked, but everything depends on what the questions are and, of course, how he does. I think when you add cumulatively all of the events of the last couple of weeks, when you make up your mind as an undecided voter.
