This time, I am really disgusted. My gloves are now off for the nasty, vicious, and untruthful McCain/Palin campaign. I am sick and tired of this absolute and total BULLSHIT.
"Palling around with terrorists?"
From the AP:
Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin accused Democratic candidate Barack Obama on Saturday of "palling around with terrorists," in the latest sign the campaign is turning increasingly nasty.
The comment by Palin, whose running mate John McCain is vying against Obama for president in the November 4 election, was dismissed by the Obama campaign as "gutter politics" and came shortly after the McCain campaign had already called the U.S. senator from Illinois a liar.
Speaking at a fund-raiser in Englewood, Colorado, she launched an assault on Obama just days after both candidates urged Congress to set aside partisan politics to pass a $700 billion bad-debt securities package in a bid to free up frozen credit markets.
"Our opponent though is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough that he is palling around with terrorists who would target their own country," Palin said of Obama, also calling him an embarrassment.
Have you no shame, McCain? No decency? Do you really think we're this stupid?
I expect as much from Palin and her pay-for-your-own-rape-kit mentality, but I'm sorry, this shows how far McCain has fallen. Pulling the old fear and racism trick, a trick full of dirt and lies, in order to save his sorry ass from drowning in a electoral wash....well, it's just pathetic.
I am angry. I'm angry that they resorted to just using pure racism as their method to win. You know it. I know it. And worst of all, they know it. They know exactly what they're doing.
Never mind that the "terrorist" is Bill Ayers, an old white man who is now a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. No, we'll leave that part out, and leave it to your imagination to conjure up images of Obama running around his anti-American Muslim black/brown extremist pals. Never mind that Obama was only eight-years-old when the Weather Underground committed its best-known bombing. Never mind that the New York Times - whose story Palin had cited - concluded the relationship between Obama and Ayers was not close.
Sarah Palin is dead wrong - it's not Obama who is the embarrassment. It's her and McCain. Shame on them, and shame on their dirty desperation.
