She survived a horrific auto crash. Her body was badly broken but her spirit was strong. She healed and waited with their children for John McCain to return from the POW camp. Carol McCain was the wife John McCain left behind.
John McCain wants to talk about character. Let's talk about character. His character. Join me below:
There's a belief in the military that you don't leave a soldier on the battle field. Bring the soldier home to family.
Once John McCain returned and saw his wife's condition, he left her on the battle field of life. He lacked the soul to divorce Carol. From his book, read what he thought about Cindy while he was still married to Carol:
"She was lovely, intelligent and charming, 17 years my junior but poised and confident. I monopolized her attention the entire time, taking care to prevent anyone else from intruding on our conversation. When it came time to leave the party, I persuaded her to join me for drinks at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. By the evening's end, I was in love."
McCain recalls that both he and Cindy initially misled each other about their ages. McCain made himself a little younger, and Cindy made herself a little older. They found out their real ages when the local paper published them. McCain was 43, Cindy 25.
"So our marriage is really based on a tissue of lies."
Just like the tissue of lies of his campaign. John McCain is a coward, a person without a soul or a moral compass.
While John McCain was fantasizing about Cindy, Carol was writing this:
I thought, of course, we would live happily ever after.
The man has dishonored his first wife in the worst sort of way. He flaunts his second wife in front of America in a faint attempt to show that he is a family man while Cindy disowns her siblings.
Carol deserved better. America deserves better. John McCain is not worthy of Carol's forgiveness. And America does not owe John McCain nor his wind up eye-candy the White House. We should not reward his campaign with the White House.
Carol McCain is the real war hero. She fought three wars: healing her badly broken body, living with the fear that John McCain wouldn't return home, living a life in the shadows of man who rejected her in her lowest moment.
Everyone wants to talk about John McCain's strength under the circumstances in the POW camp. He obviously left his character there.
We must remember Carol as McCain slimes Barack about his associations.
