I dont understand US. I dont mean me in particular, but the collective US. Look how simple minded some of us are. I am addressing the most recent McCain attacks. These attacks center on the theory that there is some mystery to Obama. I take offense with this notion. Obama is a US Senator. If I get their train of thought, we have a US Senator who is privy to National Security related information, and votes on the countries direction, who is some sort of Manchurian candidate bent on taking down the country. If this is true, why aent they asking to have him removed from the Senate? The answer is....its smoke and mirrors. The essential question of our day is what happens tommorrow. Yet, some people are caught up in yesterday. Yesterday includes issues such as race, status, and position in life.
It’s pretty clear what the Rove-Bush-McCain spin machine is setting out to do with these last few weeks before the election: sling as many lies, dubious questions, and warped facts at Obama as humanly possible. The intent here is to put the Obama campaign on the defensive. The ultimate goal of McCain and Co. would be to throw so many lies out there that the average voter doesn’t know what to think. The scary thing is that this tactic has been frighteningly successful in the past. The thing that makes me now more than ever against John McCain is that he cried like a baby when it was done to him by G Bush. Definitely, Jogn McCain is NOT a man of principle. I dont know why I even threw in the principle comment, because everyone knows it bu now, except the MSM is fearful of telling the whole truth. The truth being that McCain is simply a washed up political HACK, who aims to go out in glory, and take us all with him to the pits of hell.
This story will unfold amongst voters, and mostly uninformed and uneducated voters. I take heart in the fact that most of these folks werent going to vote for Obama anyway. The average voter doesn’t have the time or the resources to track down every single fact about Senator Obama and is left wondering - "is he friends with a terrorist?" or "does he support raising taxes on my family?" or "is he the most left-wing liberal in the Senate?" The answer to all of these is NO. But not every voter can identify these obvious lies. And an uninformed voter is still a voter. Whats missing here is that these voters dont understand that Obama has been voting on things that effect their daily lives since his election. He is NOT simply an Illinois Senator, but a United States Senator.
It is the responsibility of the media to point out all the facts. However, John McCain has this love/hate relationship with the media, yet they go way out of their way to not offend him. Here we have a candidate who wont talk to the press, ad when he does, its only to advance his talking points, so why should they (the MSM) care? John McCains advancement of his talking points is NOT news. It is the responsibility of the Obama campaign and Mr. Obama himself to make a firm stand against this type of attack. Tonight, he should remind everyone why we’re voting for Obama and inclusiveness instead of McCain and divisiveness. This smear campaign has worked in the past, but now..lets just all say "not this time"
