First off, this is my first diary, but went to Fifth Third field in Dayton today for the Obama Rally and wanted to post some thoughts. I did not see any other diarys on this.
First off, the crowd was ELECTRIC! The event did not start until 11:30 and it was after noon until Obama spoke. Doors did not open until 9am but there was a two block line to get in by 8am. I saw men and women, young and old, black and white. I saw AMERICA. I just saw news clips of people standing in line from nearby Wilmington tonight to see Palin. It did not look very inclusive to me.
Barack brought up the line that someone in the McCain camp said that if they continue to talk about race, then they lose. Barack responded.
"I got news for John McCain. Its not about losing a campaign. Its about Americans losing thier jobs, thier homes, and thier life savings. "
He said "I can take four more weeks of attacks, but America can not take four more years of ......" I did not catch the last part through the thunderous reaction.
Sorry for a short diary, as I have to run, but I wanted to let you know that OHIO is on fire for Barack. Lets get this done.
