I like to check UK papers online to see what's making news there and found an article in the Sunday Times titled, "McCain tussles with Palin over whipping up a mob mentality."
I'm not the only person out there wondering what might be going on between McCain and Palin and the actual point behind the deepening negativity, which has been shown to be rather pointless in trying to improve their election chances.
The article suggests that "with his electoral prospects fading by the day, Senator John McCain has fallen out with his vice-presidential running mate about the direction of his White House campaign."
The article goes on to describe that McCain has become "alarmed about the fury unleashed by Sarah Palin" and that insiders prefer him to experience an "honourable defeat" rather than conduct a campaign that would be "out of character" for him.
The article also goes on to lay out the importance of the way this campaign is concluded for Sarah Palin's potential run in 2012.
All very interesting information and/or speculation...and I don't doubt that the internal divisions in the apparently-cratering campaign will become quite evident in the next while.
