When Sony was fined a million bucks for earning a gillion by simply cheating, I quit buying Sony. It's sort of closing the barn door before you burn it down but my mother taught me well.
I'm bummed because Sony was one of my favorite American companies, much like Van Gogh's "Irises" was my favorite American treasure before the Aussies bought it. I will never buy another Van Gogh.
Shell, Exxon, BP, etc. are so American as to have red white and blue logos and flag lapel buttons are required attire for all executives above the three day work week level.
While the House passes laws against burning the most burnable cloth on earth, other, more enterprising folks, have turned it into toilet lids and shirts and rugs. Not the same people because the scum that burn their colors may go to jail while the patriots that vacate while sitting atop them experience only relief. They haven't explained what we patriots do with our flag covered disposable condoms once they've outlived their usefulness. I'll feel so unAmerican when I throw it away that I may prefer an abortion. As a liberal, I love abortion and will go to great extremes to have one.
When China buys UniCal, Will China become one of Americas cherished companies? Like Hawaii, Alaska and Iraq ( America's 14th largest employer behind Toyota).
China as the 52nd state, Now there's an idea who's time has come. Chinafornia. If we did it quick and late at night, just think of the tax cuts and munition savings. They'd never know what hit them. A billion folks go to sleep with wood pillows and wake up round eyed Americans with a chance to be President. Much better than the other way around which is the way I really see it happening.
