You knew it was bound to happen. Just get the special interests and obstructionists worried that their poster boy, Mitch McConnell, is facing defeat, and watch them run right for the standard playbook:
Ann Coulter: the last refuge of the scoundrel.
In Ann Coulter's world, Mitch McConnell is one "of the smartest United States Senators" and Bruce Lunsford is a "pinhead." (Also black is white, up is down, and biased talking heads are "political analysts.")
But she's such a great judge of elected officials:
[George W. Bush] will go down in history as one of America's greatest presidents.
Pundits like Coulter and Cavuto know how close we are to pulling off the upset of the year in Kentucky, and they're scared. Frankly, they should be scared: Mitch McConnell has ignored the people of Kentucky for too long and promoted the Bush agenda too often to deserve re-election. He's simply been too wrong for too long. And the company he keeps shows how out of touch he is with real Bluegrass values.
One thing's for certain--if Ann Coulter wants Mitch re-elected, that's plenty of reason to want him gone.
Toss another anvil.
