Voters in NJ-5 are SO close to getting rid of Scott Garrett, the Michelle Bachmann of NJ -- and replacing him with one of our Orange to Blue candidates, Dennis Shulman. This week, DCCC Chairman, Congressman Chris Van Hollen referred to Congressman Garrett as President Bush "on steroids." But Shulman needs at least $5,000 in last minute cash to ensure he can get his message out on the air to all the voters in New Jersey -5 whom he needs to reach!!!

As many of you know Dennis Shulman, is a rabbi, psychologist, community leader, who happens to be blind and is running for Congress against the Michelle Bachmann of the east -- radical wingnut Scott Garrett (R-NJ-5). Garrett is the only Republican North of the Mason Dixon line who voted against the Americans with Disabilities Restoration Act and the Voting Rights Act Reauthorization. He also objected to aid to Katrina victims, requiring insurance companies to cover mammograms, and is a strong supporter of the radical right agenda. Garrett even ran a despicable advertisement falsely claiming that Rabbi Shulman would coddle Hamas and Iran, when obviously nothing could be further from the truth!
Momentum is on Shulman's side, if he gets this last minute infusion of support. Shulman got $85,000 this week from the DCCC and endorsements from NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the NY Times and the Bergen Record, but he needs at least $5,000 more to get his message out and maximize the opportunity for victory. If elected he would be the first blind member of Congress since 1941, and a strong voice for civil and disability rights as well as open, transparent and accountable government!
Please support his candidacy with donations of the maximum amount that you can afford!
