I have to admit, Sarah Palin is one charismatic woman. Check out this link of the real Sarah Palin at home in Alaska - http://www.mcclatchydc.com/...
I saw her become unhinged when she stepped onto the national stage after she was selected to run for vice president on the McCain ticket. I saw her incoherently struggle through press interviews. I knew anyone who had risen to such heights in Alaska government could not possible be a complete, blithering idiot. She was grappling with national issues for which she had no intellectual curiosity or capacity, and it showed.
I too behaved similarly in my first year of college when I felt out of my depth and had to make public presentations. My mind often went completely blank and I sounded unhinged too. Luckily I overcame those struggles to earn my degree. My point is that now that she is back home on familiar turf, she sounds like her old self.

I hate what she did to Obama and the country. I will never forgive her and at the same time, I see a courageous, strong, defiant woman raising five kids with a loving husband. Every time I see her on TV, I get sucked in by her charms and I know as a politician, she represents everything I find vile and reprehensible. I feel conflicted.
If Sarah Palin had campaigned on the issues and not fanned flames of hatred, she would definitely have had a brighter political future. Her record is now stained and she will be remembered for palling around and associating with white supremacists and KKK sympathizers. She has brought disgrace to the country and to the Republican Party during what should have been an historic and uplifting presidential campaign. What a shame.
