I was all set to watch "Dirty Sexy Money" when I learn it is going to be preempted by Barbara Walter's interview with the Obama family.
I mean, like - he isn’t even President yet. Can he do that?
I know Presidents can interrupt regular programming - especially if they are launching a war. But is it legal for President-elects to mess up the TV schedule?
To be honest, I've never seen "Dirty Sexy Money." I’m not sure if it is a special or a regular weekly show. But I liked the title - "Sex" and "Money" - could it be about pornography? Prostitution?
I was in the middle of selecting my drink and snack when informed of this outrage. I wasn't sure if red or white wine went with popcorn. And does it matter if I pop white or yellow corn? I cannot find it on the Web. What good are these tubes? Every search brings up receipts about cooking turkey.
Anyway, I just called the FCC and they tell me the President-elects can only preempt local community TV channels. President-elects have no power to preempt network TV schedules.
Update 1: To protect the American public from such abuse I filed a complaint to stop the programming change.
Update 2: FCC replied that President-elects have no such powers but Barbara Walters does.
Must go pop the corn and pour more wine. Guess I'll have to settle for watching Barbara Walters and the Obama family
