Red Pen of Freeperville seems to think he/she has ended the BabyGate controversy. Instead his "proof" picture raises more questions than answers and using a Freeper site has of course yielded a bunch of crap information.
First of all, there are pictures associated with actual events and dates, such as the picture of Palin at the launch of the Lt. Gov's run for Senate on March 14, 2008. Full frontal view, 5 days before she supposedly bore a baby.
Where's the big belly in this photo, which is linked to an actual date and event? Now, as many have already noted, a mother who has had three previous pregnancies and is over 40 is going to show more not less and earlier, not later.
There is no protruding baby bump. Instead I believe that Ms. Palin is wearing the same two piece jacket and slacks that she wore three months earlier in this photo of her with the AK National Guard on January 10, 2007. That would be three months before baby was born. Get real, what 5th pregnancy mother has an absolutely flat profile like this at 6 mos? Are we talking Virgin Birth or something? Not that the religious right might not go for it...
Now back to poison, er Red Pen's "proof".
The freeper site linked claims that the photo was taken at the Governor's Conference in Dallas, Tx, on or about March 19, 2008. Well, according to the Flickr site where the photo came from, it was taken in Juneau, Ak on the last day of the AK 25th Legislative Session. There's a problem, Houston. According to the AK Legislature's official site, the last day of the session was April 12, 2008. That's about a month after the baby was born. Whooeee, Gov. Palin's tummy was all flat leading up to the birth, but all sticking out there after the March 19th birth! Another miracle, no doubt.
Ah, but there's more. The photographer was prescient as well as postient. If you go to the detail pages of the photos on Flickr, it turns out they were taken on March 19, 2005, 3 years to the day before the baby was born. Curioser and curioser.
Continuing on with that prescient thing "erik" says the picture is him, Palin, and "Press Secretary McAllister." So, on March 19, 2005, the 25th Legislature ended 3 years and one month before it ended, Gov. Palin was rotund 1 month after giving birth, and Bill McAllister was Press Secretary 5 months before he was appointed, on August 12, 2008!
So, there you have it, my rebuttal of the "proof" that Sarah Palin had a baby on March 19, 2008. Make what you will of it, but never take a Freeper's word for anything.
