It seems that right now there are four or five Republican Governors who are playing politics with the stimulous bill and saying that they may not accept the money for their state. It's quite obvious that they may have Presidential aspirations and are trying to appeal to the most conservative of the conservative.
I actually have a theory about Terry McAuliffe and I wanted to see if anyone agrees. As you know he is currently running for Governor. My theory is that he plans to win this year and again in four years. He is then hoping Hillary runs for President in 2016. Since he's extremely close to the Clintons, he would aim to be her running mate. He could claim that his experience as Governor would qualify him. Then in 2024 he would be in his sixties and would run for President with maybe... Chelsea Clinton; who would then be in her early forties.
I hope I'm wrong; but I cannot stand Terry McAuliffe. He has two goals...1.) power and 2.) keep the Clinton legacy alive. What do you think?
Just a final aside. I sometimes go to Hannity's website and read the blog to see what the wing nuts are saying. I often chime in my two cents to give them a different perspective. Tonight they were complaining, as usual about President Obama, and I went to log in and reply. It appears I have been banned for life for "contempt of Hannity." Yesterday I called him an angry man; and it got me banned. I think this is very funny. They do the same thing on the blog as on air; cut off anyone who disagrees with them.
