I've been reading this John Gault stuff and it just irrates me. Don't get me wrong, creativity is important to our economy, but I am tired of being considered unimportant to our economy because I am not a zillionair. I/we am/are the consumer. You can be as ingenious as you want but if no one buys it, it doesn't add to our economy. The economy is based on the consumer.
Just thinking....it is my opinion that the rich get rich from the regular people...we make their goods and provide their services, we buy their goods and services, we clean their houses, we teach their children, we protect and serve them, we pave the roads they drive on...they benefit from us.
We should somehow show our strength. We could boycott something for a day or we could buy one item on one particular day. I am thinking the latter, because we don't want to pull money out of the economy and cause further harm. What if we bought some item of no real significance (like a rubic cube, if it was made in America). Does this sound crazy?
