Hey baby,
I know I haven't been around lately, and I take full responsibility for that. I'm not gonna be one of those assholes that just pops in and out of your life, giving you clips of Real Time when I'm flush and leaving you high and dry during the off season. Or, in this case, the off season plus a few episodes.
At least, not any more.
If this ain't yer first rodeo, skip the damn "this is how this works" part.
This is how this works: Saturday Morning Maher is a community diary series I started for the HBO impaired(be ye overseas or be ye busted-ass broke). I post some clips, razzle few and dazzle less with my own two cents, then turn the floor over to you. You're encouraged to watch a clip, comment, and generally have a fuckin' field day discussing what you've just seen.
Welcome, one and all to your "better late than never (but one more week and we'd have to surround you)", 2009 Saturday Morning Maher. I...I was checkin' out the clips from the last few weeks and boy, there's some funny shit there. Somebody oughtta post those...
Anyhoo, for the second week in a row, the panel has been cut down to two people. This weeks two people? Michael Eric Dyson and Matt Drudge's bitch, Andrew Brietbart. Oh, Sarah Silverman drops by for the new "How Fucked Are We?" segment, and Steven Pearlstein takes the momentum out of an already lackluster opening segment during his pre-panel interview. Which is why I've squirreled away the opening monologue- yes, in an undisclosed location.
Panel Discussion Part 1: Michael Eric Dyson owns Breitfart, Maher starts to say something that will really piss you off.
Yes. Ad hominiciously delicious.
Panel Discussion Part Two: Bill Maher goes into detail about the thing he said that pissed you off, Dyson mauls Breitfart...again.
It is with the idea, feeling, thick and impending sense of doom, that I open the floor to the Kosmunnity to talk about Teacher's Unions.
Right after New Rules:
