This will be short, partly because I am too giddy to type, also I should be working right now. Our local charter high school just got its first graphing calculator. Some of you may not understand what a big deal this is. Several kind Kossacks responded to diaries from Urtica dioica gracilis and kyril and went to the school's amazon wishlist site (link is in my sig line) and sent us a total of 18 science calculators. We previously had 0, (increase from before = infinity)
We just received a box from Carson City, NV, this kind person just sent us their TI-89, it is an advanced graphing calculator and is considered to be a "pocket math computer" by many (increase from before = infinity). Anyone who has ever attempted a college level algebra or statistics course knows how essential they can be.
let me tell you how I really feel after the fold
this rocks. sure we need more but hell yeah. Whoever you were, you are one of the coolest people out there, your ancestors should be proud.
To close the gap between college acceptance (100% for graduating seniors)and college preparedness, we have made "calculus ready" our new voluntary math standard for graduating seniors. Today this goal sounds a little more plausible.

We can use anything a normal school needs, whatever it is, we either don't have it or could use more. If you want to ship sports equipment, don't forget, most balls ship easier if deflated.
the school's director has a wishlist as well, I promised to post a link.
This whole thing started with my Klamath River Early College Math Dept Wishlist
the second poll option should actually read 1/n! instead of n/n!
