Listen Dick, you should have never been allowed back into government after your first foray in the White House in 1974 and 1975 as the Chief of Staff for President Gerald Ford and your BFF Donald Rumsfeld was your boss at first but when President Ford made him the Sec of Defense in 1975 you moved into his chairs as Chief of Staff, a chair on the National Security Council.
In those roles you were one of the few men that approved using chemical weapons and drugs, such as LSD, PCP, Scopolomine, Sarin and Mustard agents among the 254 different substances they used at Edgewood Arsenal. This was an ILLEGAL program, just as the torture program was illegal. They were allowed by signing statements, in other words permission slips by the President for a few Americans to break national and international laws.
You have no morals, you are a slimy cretin that has no business in public defending the evil you and your "friends" enabled. No you might not have been the one to gas me, or slip me drugs, but you approved it, by committee. WHY? What gave you and your friends that right? You broke the law, there is no other excuse. People have been harmed by it, lives were shortened as a long term effect of it.
There are a small group of veterans of the Edgewood experiments that have filed a lawsuit against the C.I.A., DOD and the Army over the experiments in California.
What This Case Is About
Plaintiffs seek declaratory and injunctive relief only – no monetary damages – and Plaintiffs seek redress for 25 years of diabolical experiments followed by over 30 years of neglect, including:
the use of troops to test nerve gas, psychochemicals, and thousands of other toxic chemical or biological substances and perhaps most gruesomely, the insertion of septal implants in the brains of subjects in a ghastly series of mind control experiments that went awry;
the failures to secure informed consent and other widespread failures to follow the precepts of U.S. and international law regarding the use of human subjects, including the 1953 Wilson Directive and the Nuremberg Code;
an almost fanatical refusal to satisfy their legal and moral obligations to locate the victims of their gruesome experiments or to provide health care or compensation to them;
the deliberate destruction of evidence and files documenting their illegal actions, actions which were punctuated by fraud, deception, and a callous disregard for the value of human life.
The Complaint asks the Court to determine that Defendants’ actions were illegal and that Defendants have a duty to notify all victims and to provide them with health care going forward.
Mr Cheney, you need to do like George Bush and your BFF Donald Rumsfeld and go back into your "undisclosed location" and keep your sick mouth shut.
In my opinion you were a war criminal when you approved using chemical weapons and illegal drugs on American enlisted men and women in 1974 and 1975, your excuse that it had been going on since 1953, is bogus, you knew it was wrong and you were suppossed to stop it, and you failed. That is not leadership, it's a crime.
I am sick that you had so much power in the Bush Administration knowing what you did more than 30 years ago, yet you managed to even surpass that evil with this torture mess.
I have a hard time deciding who I feel sorrier for the American soldiers abused in the name of "national security at Edgewood" or the farmers imprisoned at Gitmo, now of which 75% have been turned loose because they were NOT dangerous.
Dick, go back under your rock and just STFU
UPDATE: To explain Cheney's connection to Edgewood and other facts of Cheney's history I give a hat tip to Dartagnan
The Complaint does not name Cheney
You need to establish a link in the Diary between Cheney and what you're describing
my reply
the program was stopped when Congress learned of it in the summer of 1975 Dick Cheney was sitting on the NSC and they inherited the program from Nixon they should have shut it down they allowed it to continue until the Army released a report titled Department of the Army Inspector general report on Human Experimentation 1975 then the program was forced to a halt by public outcry not because the NSC thought it was illegal or wrong
Well you ought to expand this then (2+ / 0-)

For those of us who don't know the history.
Here's a Rolling Stone link on Cheney's disastrous career.

My thanks to Dartagnan for expanding the scope of this
