This is an update to my previous entry. I just preferred to post it as a new entry instead of editing the previous one.
Bad news: not even one blogger concerned with this issue has contacted me. It seems the easiest is to chat about the issue. Today one immigrant who was not born in the right country or family and so had no chance to come legally will die in the desert. His dreams will die with him, sentenced to death for having been born in the wrong caste. His children will not see him again. His wife will wait for him every day in vain. And America will miss the gift a good immigrant could have given her in exchange for a chance in this life to be happy. Bloggers, nice chatting.
Yesterday May 1 Olbermann gave us another lesson on journalism. First he exposed Jay Severin’s blatant racism, which reminds us what Nazis used to say about Jews in Nazi Germany. An allusion to lack of hygiene, not included in the video, reminds us those used by Nazi propagandists against Jews after denying them any access to hygienic or sanitary facilities.
"So now in addition to venereal disease and the other leading exports of Mexico, women with mustaches en VD, now we have swine flu... We should be if anything surprised that Mexico has not visited upon us poxes of more various and serious types considering the number of ciminaliens already here... It’s millions of leeches from a primitive country... Now they are exporting a rather more active form of disease which is the swine flu."

The second lesson of that same day was the way Olbermann denounced Georgia Representative Paul Brown, who used the death of a 23-month infant to inflame anti-immigrant sentiments saying that the baby was "possibly an illegal alien," what was not supported by not even one serious news source. Then Brown blamed "these illegal aliens" of everything he could blame them demonstrating once more how brave these racists are with those who cannot answer back to their abuses. Actually news agencies had been clearly stated that child had come legally to visit relatives in the United States.

One sanitary episode with respect to which the Right expressed no concern was the death of Hiu Lui Ng, a 34-old Chinese immigrant who had lived here since he was 19 and accidentally momentarily overstayed his visa. Hiu Lui Ng had demonstrated good character and represented what we all want in an immigrant but when he went to the final interview part of his application for a green card, he was arrested. His cancer had not been detected by ICE doctors so when he began complaining about the pain, he was ignored and shackled to a chair by ICE officials who demanded that he dropped his appeal and accepted deportation. Thus, Hiu Lui Ng died after days of unspeakable pain.

Maybe I will never have the honor of shaking your hand but, once again, thanks Keith.
