Radical mosque leader killed in FBI shootout
After a 2-year investigation, FBI agents descended on a Dearborn warehouse Wednesday hoping to capture the suspected head of an Islamic fundamentalist group.
The scene quickly turned chaotic, however, in a shootout that caused agents to gun down Luqman Ameen Abdullah, 53, leader of the Masjid Al-Haqq mosque in Detroit. Abdullah is accused in a federal complaint of heading a Sunni Muslim group with the mission of establishing a separate Islamic nation within the United States.

Interesting story, according to the article the group was interested in creating a separate Islamic state within the US. It sounds kind of odd, quite frankly.
The area, Tireman in Detroit, is really a strange place. It’s isolated by the huge Ford auto plant to the west and the highways to the east. Having been through there, it’s very easy to get lost, if you can even find it. It’s also home to a large, low income Middle Eastern population.
