This will be a short diary, hopefully providing Mainers an opportunity to talk about what is happening on the ground in Maine. i m the chairman of the Washington County Democratic Committee. We have had some great ground work here in our conservative county. Washington County has a solid core of great Democrats. We actually won the County for Obama last year, by less than 200 votes.
Unlike most of our activists i did not vote early, i got up this morning and went to the Lubec town office to vote. As of 10am. there had been almost 100 voters. That is a pretty good turnout for us. I don't know what it portends, but i'm hopeful. There is a lot of "Yes" supporters here. We will see.
This diary is for others to put their observations of what is happening throughout the state. just remember to put your town or county so we can get an idea of what is happening where.
Enjoy!
