What a pleasant way to wake up.
Conveniently, Suzanne Kosmas decided yesterday to vote against the health care reform bill. The only reason I can think of for her to vote against is to further her political career.
I have received numerous emails, over the previous few months, from Rep Kosmas declaring her intentions to vote for the reform bill.
But this was in todays online news:
PORT ORANGE -- The international president of one of the country's larger unions and other local union leaders made some noise Thursday, urging Rep. Suzanne Kosmas to vote yes on the U.S. House health care reform bill Saturday.
Later Thursday, however, the Democratic representative's camp confirmed she would be voting against the bill.

A protest outside her Port Orange office is already in the works (planned for Saturday at 1 pm...in case there is anyone in the area that can attend here is the address:
1000 City Center Cir # 2
Port Orange, FL 32129-4144
Pressure must be put on Rep Kosmas to persuade her to change her mind. Here is a copy of my email to her:
Message Subject: Health Care Reform-WHY ARE YOU VOTING NO?
Message Text: I am thoroughly apalled at your decision to vote no on health care reform. I am 37 years old and I have never in my life, had any kind of health insurance. I am so glad that you are so willing to SACRIFICE people like me to further YOUR political career. You are a disgrace and I seriously regret voting for you last November. Sincerely, xxxx
PLEASE HELP BY CALLING AND EMAILING REP KOSMAS
How could she switch her vote this close to the voting period? I can only speculate that she waited for the last minute because either a) she was terrified of being inundated with emails and phone calls, b) she got a pretty large sum of money from a lobbying group or a combination of the two.
Here are her website, email and phone #'s.
