I no longer care. I will no longer share here. What I learn or any photos I find, I will keep to myself.
That ought to make some of you very happy. Or very sad... because you will only have yourself to tear apart at the end of the day.
Many of you took my post as an opportunity to sacrifice another human being because my enthusiasm for learning was raw and unspoiled and not tainted any political or religious viewpoint... and many of you resorted to childish name-calling and or comparisons rather than act like mature and educated adults that we presumably all are.
When I put the article out there about the relics, it wasn't about the website that the article came from. Yes, I should have checked it and no I probably would not have shared it here. It was about the relics themselves and the fact that the same kind of relics were found in Yemen and in Colorado. I never even looked at the website the article was on... somebody sent me the article because they knew I had an interest in history and relics and that I would go to read the article and look at the pictures. They also knew that I wouldn't pay attention to any conspiracy theories, that I would be more interested in the photos of the relics and the translation of the pictographs so the website itself would be quite irrelevant.
By KOS rules, to link to the article I would have to post the web address. Something I gladly did to share the photos and the information because I thought it was too interesting not to share! I sort of expected people to say "Wow" and maybe have more information to share. I really didn't expect the acid-tongued responses that I got nor did I expect the childish name calling and comparisons. It makes me sad because that is what I think is wrong with America. I don't know if our attitudes have been poisoned beyond repair or not.
But KOS readers are unforgiving literal vultures and so it became all about the website and not about the relics or where the Hell they were found... all that faded into a grey fuzz while most of you picked apart anything but the relics or the locations they were found. And because I had tunnel vision and was excited about the relics themselves a good many of you have chosen to throw stones at me.
So never mind the implied politics because I went here or there to learn. I think it was still interesting to see those relics, though I will think twice before I try to share what I learn from wherever I found any info I find or any photos I come across. It isn't worth being poisoned for.
Life is a learning experience.
The end result: Lesson well taught. Lesson well learned.
