The healthcare debate on this site seems to have cooled over the last couple of weeks. Once it appeared that that fight for a Public Option had been lost seems like we lost focus. Getting a healthcare reform bill to the President's desk is still not a done deal.
Today the President is meeting with the Labor Unions regarding the supposed "Cadillac Tax" on healthcare (I hope the President is reasonable on this) and then Senator Dodd was also interviewed regarding the status of the healthcare bill and I think we should all sit up and take notice.

Dodd: Health Care Overhaul Bill Is 'Hanging by a Thread'by burghnews</div>
I for one was calling for the killing of this bill. I thought it was a let down to millions of Americans and could have been more middle class friendly. Over the last few weeks however, I have come to reverse my opinion and believe it is better to cover 31 million more uninsured Americans than it is to abandoned this bill altogether.
So, if the media can stop salivating all over the Non-troversy of Harry Reid and his "negro" statement I think they will find that this interview was extremely news worthy.
