I must apologize for the all caps, but it wasn't me. It was a fan of the Restore Our Honor rally on Facebook who used the all caps. Does anyone know why conservatives feel the need to yell so much?
You may need the "backstory" for this to make any sense.
Take one military wife (me), add one controversy (Glenn Beck using a Special Operations Warrior Foundation to fund his rally), add two Daily Kos diaries,A Military Wife's Tirade Against Glenn Beck and Glenn Beck Stages a Coup, and a dash of Keith Olbermann, and you get Satan's THREE MUSKETEERS. I never said conservative logic makes sense, but if you're intrigued, please join the conversation. Updates of our grassroots campaign included. Comments always appreciated!
The unofficial Facebook page for the Restore Our Honor rally has been quite the topic of conversation. It is has it's fair share of racism and hate. But after Keith Olbermann gave Special Operations Warrior Command a shout out a few nights ago, one of the fans just couldn't stand it anymore:
Update: Keith Olbermann of the DESPICABLE Countdown on MSNBC has joined this Trilateral Commission of Hate! In a disconnect from reality that trumps even his low standards, Olby managed to cheap shot Glenn Beck's Aug 28th event while ragging on Health Care!
Go figure! lol
So now you have Satan's THREE Musketeers -... See More
Daily Kos
Move On
MSNBC's Countdown all
on the OTHER SIDE of this issue.
Wish them luck!

Obviously, nakedmile@yahoo.com, has read my diaries and has made the profound connection between my volunteer duties as a MoveOn coordinator and my diaries at Daily Kos and decided that there is a mass conspiracy to rid the world of Glenn Beck. Oh, wait, that's in his other post, on the other Facebook page:
Move On is trying to Derail this GREAT EVENT. A female member of MoveOn and a routinely wrecked DailyKos diarist is singlehandedly trying to DESTROY this event because of her INSANE hatred of Glenn Beck.
Here is the backstory - http://www.dailykos.com/...
http://www.dailykos.com/...
I am gathering all the information I can about her as a counter-offensive and will be publishing it.
She is trying to HURT our soldiers and DESTROY Glenn Beck.
The Left USED to be able to get away with this stuff - see Anita Bryant, Dr.Laura, Dan Quayle etc etc but not anymore.
Don't let some LONE NUTCASE with a keyboard do any more damage to the US than MoveOn and the DailyKos have at least attempted to do already!

NakedMile, in case you're reading this, I just want to let you know that there isn't much to find out. I'm a military wife with two kids and a great husband. We've hit 20 years with the Air Force and we're staying in for a few more. My husband loves his job and we all love our Country. And just in case you didn't know, military families aren't all conservative. It's okay. We're actually as diverse as the rest of the nation. Don't expect us all to agree with you or Glenn Beck. It's the American Way to solve problems through conversation, debate, and protest. As a military wife, I am fortunate to be able to exercise my First Amendment rights, just like you do. So read on and enjoy.
The rest of you might want to know what kind of an impact our grassroots campaign is having. For those of you just jumping in, we're trying to convince a small, worthy charity, Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) that is may be involved in illegal fundraising for Glenn Beck's rally.
Our concerns are two-fold. A charity should not engage in activities that do not reflect their stated mission. Furthermore, a charity should not raise funds for a private enterprise. To make things even more complicated, those of us who have lived the military life believe that a military-affiliated organization should steer clear of the likes of Glenn Beck. There are no laws or rules that require this. But we believe he is a powder keg waiting to explode and anyone (or any charity) standing nearby is bound to go up in the resulting explosion.
Are we making a difference? Little by little.
- The Glenn Beck "Restore Our Honor" rally no longer receives top billing on the SOWF website. It has been moved so that you must scroll down to find it.
- The SOWF staff is aware of the unofficial Facebook page. We have learned that there is a second unoffical Facebook page. The Offical Facebook page does have over 11,000 members.
- The SOWF staff is now aware that the date of the event takes place on the anniversary of Dr. King's famous "I Have a Dream" speech and have forwarded a suggestion to include this in any program. We're still unsure "who" they are forwarding to - an in-house event planner or Glenn Beck's staff.
- Glenn Beck's staff has removed reference to THE PLAN being revealed at this event on 8/28 from the 9/12 Project Website.
- After his conversation on Life Panels on March 1, Keith Olbermann mentioned the SOWF by name and questioned their association with Glenn Beck - that's no small potatoes folks!
So, where does that leave us? Still wondering about the legality of the fundraising. I also am left with two unanswered questions that I did address to Major McLeary:
Which group is planning the event? - it is still unclear if this is a Glenn Beck Rally honoring the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which is what he claims; or if this is a fundraiser for Special Operations Warrior Foundation and Glenn Beck is a speaker, which is what they claim. I honestly feel it is time for the lawyers to start asking questions because I am can't tell which it is.
Whose honor is being restored? At first guess, it could have something to do with the government. But SOWF can't host a political event - it's not in their realm of legal options. Glenn Beck can... but then he can't use the organization to raise funds. He could give them money outright. BTW, why hasn't he done that? He does this for other groups. Why not just give a donation to the charity, mention their name so that others could donate, and be done with it? Why this complicated fundraising fiasco?
Perhaps the honor is that of the troops? No one in their right mind would claim that. That is Vietnam-era talk from the extreme left. Americans today honor their troops even when they don't honor the mission.
That's it! Glenn Beck and the SOWF don't honor the mission! They want to stop the war. Of course, why didn't I understand that sooner? "Restore Our Honor" means to get our butts out of Afghanistan. This is an anti-war rally. How could I have been so blind?
So now I understand, I think I should call SOWF and apologize. Maybe you should too... have you called?Maybe we should call Glenn Beck too!
Of course an antiwar rally sounds pretty poltical. Oops. Maybe I'm wrong. But until someone answers that question, we'll have to keep making assumptions about their grand plan.
