Considering Joe Scarborough seems to be in hot water for violating MSNBC's Thirteenth Commandment, i.e., "Thou Shalt Not Speak Ill Of Another MSNBC Host (link: http://www.dailykos.com/... ), I think it's a fine time to play Fantasy Morning Show Football, and talk about who those of us who are loyal MSNBC viewers would like to see at the helm in in the morning.
My pick? Lawrence O'Donnell and Allison Stewart.
Who could forget some of Lawrence's more memorable moments on MSNBC, like this one:
Or this one:
And Allison Stewart can hold her own, as she did while filling in for Rachel Maddow here:
So, let me put it to the group - who's your dream team? I've listed some options below - feel free to put your own recommendations in the comments.
Update: Some great names being thrown out in the comment section: Don Lemon of CNN, David Shuster, Arianna Huffington, Paul Begala, Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartman...and, our very own, teacherken!
Keep 'em coming :-)
Update the Second: More great ideas from our Daily Kos casting agents include Anna Marie Cox, CNN's Roland S. Martin, Aaron Brown, and moving either Savannah Guthrie or Ed Schultz to the morning slot.
C'mon MSNBC - if we get this energized even having this conversation, imagine how many more of us would watch if you put some fresh, new faces in this timeslot?
