Jay Rockefeller, a liberal Icon, has decided to vote to limit the EPA in regulating greenhouse gases! So, where is the outrage from the left? This is what a conservative democrat would do, not a liberal. BUT...
In short, Lisa Murkowski, a republican from Alaska, is introducing a bill to limit the power of the EPA and its regulating of greenhouse gases. The vote will be sometime on thursday. The Democrats are trying to keep the vote under 51, so it will not be a moral victory for republicans. This will be tough, as in addition to Rockefeller, Ben Nelson, and Lincoln said they will also vote for this bill. HMMMM!
Join me over the jump to discuss:
First Here is the article for Rockefeller's decision:

This decision is all coal related, he is protecting BIG COAL. IMHO, I do not care if he is from West Virginia or not, this is a big issue and he deserves alot of criticism! I will not forget this. And/but, the WH is threatening to veto this bill, and harshly criticizes the merits of it:

And a short paragraph from this article:
[The White House said it "strongly opposes" Murkowski's proposal. It would block a federal program to raise fuel economy standards and limit pollution from tailpipe emissions, as well as harm efforts to combat climate change, according to a statement of administration policy, which invoked the massive oil spill spreading in the Gulf of Mexico.]
Suddenly, it is the President reminding people that the energy bill does not have to have cap and trade, that we can get a energy bill through Congress, and the EPA will do the regulating(preferably, it would be stronger if congress did this, but is is unlikely any republicans would be on board)!
And the Energy bill is connected to the Oil spill, where, if their is any silver lining, the energy bill is more likely than not! So, lets get it right, and do this thing!
It started yesterday when Schumer put in a provision in the extenders bill, a increase in a tax on oil companies. YUP! From 8 cents a barrel to 41 cents a barrel. NICE! And of course, Vitter took to the floor and was pissed about this(GOOD)! Then, Pelosi said she wants legislation this month, for the oil spill! GREAT! Now, lets come TOHETHER on the energy bill! The public deserves it!
One thing is for sure, Rockelfeller and the dems need to get there shit together and stop being so self absorbed!
PEACE
