"All My Relations"
The Community Quilt Project is supporting this wonderful organization by offering this star quilt in a drawing. Two hundred people signed its diamond patches at Netroots Nation in Austin, TX. Four more (Meteor Blades, Dengre, Ojibwa, and Winter Rabbit) signed the corner stars by mail. I spent several months putting it together, quilting it by hand, and decorating it with beadwork. It is one of the best things I have ever made, as a representation of our community and as a work of fiber art – and it could be yours. But this is the last week to enter – the last day is August 15th.
Here is how the drawing works. Donate $10 or more to INDN’s List and you will receive a chance in the drawing – in fact, you will receive a chance for every day you donate $10 or more between now and August 15. If you cannot donate, you may enter by writing an essay of 50 words or less on this subject: "INDN's List's Mission -- Why it Benefits Everybody". Put the title in the subject line and email your essay on or before August 15, 2010 to communityquilts (at) yahoo (dot) com. If we find your essay to be topical, we will enter you for one chance in the drawing – one essay per person per day.
TODAY ONLY if you enter by donation or by essay, you will also be entered to win the additional prize of something really special – twelve 8oz. jars of Kitsap River’s blackberry-chocolate jam. It is her own, original recipe, made in very small batches with wonderful Pacific Northwest fruit and lots of love. This gift is worth about $100 -- please pitch in and make sure Kitsap River's generosity has a great effect for INDN's List today! Someone’s going to be very lucky to receive this delicious jam!

The drawing for the star quilt will take place the last day in August. The drawing for the chocolate blackberry jam will take place tomorrow.
It’s a great cause. This is coming at a very good time for INDN's List -- and the whole organization is so grateful to this community for the help we are providing. If I may say so, the quilt is also a very special prize, one that represents our whole community, working together. Please give if you can.
