To borrow something from the Smithsonian and NPR, I'm going to tell you all what I believe. Not about religion. Not about politcs. Not about war. About people.
Follow me over the proverbial fold for more.....
I believe in peace for all persons.
I believe that war is wrong.
I believe that soldiers (not "troops", that's a collective term) must be given their benefits but those that commit war crimes must be punished, right up the chain of command.
I believe that the wars we are fighting are unjust and unmerciful.
I believe that we over-reacted on 9/11.
I believe that as a Democracy, or Republic, we need a real "Truth Commission" on torture and militarism. And to hold the perpetrators accountable.
I believe that we need universal, single-payer health insurance.
I believe that we need equal rights for LGBT citizens NOW.
I believe that we need to support our President, even though he's very, very scared.
I believe that there are about 200 CEO's that belong in Federal Prison. I know that one of the men my dad worked for is in there. Why not others?
I believe that we should stop fighting about what divides us, and start talking about what we're going to do about it.
