There has been a lot of coverage on the demoralized progressive movement of 2008. I'm more disappointed than demoralized. The Democrats have once again waited until the last minute to finally wake up and start attacking. But I fear that it will be too little, too late.
If it weren't for Dkos & others that have been dedicated to keeping the progressive liberal informed about what's going on in the country the GOP landslide would be the only topic out there.
But I keep thinking back to 2006. The Liberman/Lamont primary and how the progressive blogosphere had been so active and aggressive in pushing Lamont to the Democratic nomination.
Where is that fevered commitment this year?
Why aren't there platoons of progressive bloggers in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Nevada, California or any state ramping up the local Democratic electorate?
Am I missing it?
It seems that once the bloggers that were in the trenches in 2006 getting things done moved on to a larger stage no one has stepped up to fill the void.
I know I haven't.
