I watched Racel tonight in which she raised an excellent point. I was surprised she did not reach the obvious conclusion.
Rachel acted stunned that Democrats believe that the GOP will compromise even though the GOP says over and over they will not. She asks why can't Democrats just believe what they say?
Answer -- it is in their nature. I am stunned that Democrats believe we can talk to Iran without pre-conditions even though their government says over and over that they are committed to wiping Israel off the map and destroying America. I ask why can't Democrats just believe what Iran says?
And sometimes compromise is not possible. How do we compromise with Iran? Allow them to wipe half of Israel off the map and destroy half of America?
Just something to think about, but I think it really is just the way Democrats think -- they have certain beliefs and ideals, and they project them on everyone else, which is why they think they always know what is best for people. Which comes across as stuck-up.
The Michael Moore interview was pretty pathetic. They complained over and over about the GOP using language that incites violence (re-loading or 2nd amendment remedies). They forgot to mention Biden saying he would choke Republicans to death, Obama saying that if GOP wins in Nov it will be hand-to-hand combat in DC, and an NPR reporter wishing AIDS on Strom Thurman AND his grandchildren.
Yes McVie was a right-wing milita guy. Yes Animal Liberation Front and Earth Liberation Front (Eco-Terrorists) are left-wing whack-jobs.
There is a huge danger in "taking sides" as if politics is a team sport, in which the main goal is winning -- regardless of right and wrong and common sense. Both parties are pathetic, corrupt, dishonest, talk violence, take money from special interests, love power, and more. Except for a few really good people on both sides (Examples: Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich -- odd, different thinkers, and at least appear honest and at least trying to be great public servants).
