This is simple. I just modified it so that it doesn't sound like "socialism."
I would like to propose a STOP WELFARE FOR THE RICH demonstrations nationwide.
Every town, every college campus large and small.
The only thing keeping this plutocratic cobweb from suffocating us is ourselves.
Bush was able to temporarily cut taxes for the wealthy because Clinton created a huge
surplus. The middle class was rolling in dough at the time. It was no big deal.
Now, in our town, adjacent Manhattan, former working class housing is being bought up, gutted and McMansioned. It is then resold at double the former price, so that only the wealthy can have a standard of living previously enjoyed by the middle class.
It is but one example of how the rich are taking everything. With no sense of giving back to the country that allowed their purses to bloat.
My one feeling is that the income getting the tax hike should be raised a little more, because metropolitan areas like NYC are prohibitively costly, especially for a family with children. I believe that taxing an income of $350,000 per family would make more sense. (not that we make anywhere near that amount).
Something like this would cross party lines. Bigtime.
Because America is not a welfare state for the rich.
