Absolutely nothing happened in the US Senate this entire year.
N O T H I N G
Now, because these corporate shills are afraid to miss their vacation, they're able to pass DADT, the Food Safety bill, Community Radio bill, in the span of 24 hours?
This is beyond pathetic. Can, we get, you know, the Senate and House, to ummmmmm, work this hard, all the time?
I mean when I go to work. When I go to my job, I don't sit there and argue for 363 days, then on the 364th day, I decide to do the work I was supposed to be doing the previous 363 days.
Is it so hard to keep these Senators working, you know, like as hard as I do? I mean, Am I asking too much here?
Its weird because I work 5 days a week, sometimes I have to work 7 days a week when my work gets really busy. Here I am thinking that the Senate's primary job is to debate and then pass legislation that will benefit the country.
My boss, she can be a benevolent dictator at times, but its understood that work needs to get done and sometimes it takes long nights and days and weekends to meet deadlines. Its just me I guess.
Here I am thinking that Mr. Timid, Harry Reid, couldn't actually do anything except get re-elected somehow, but is able to do like 1 day of really hard work.
Wow. God forbid Reid actually kept the Senate open for as long as debate took on any issue for, on weekends, all day, all night, until, you know, bills get passed and stuff.
I know there are quaint parliamentary procedures that take place, but, its become apparent to me that the best way to move Senate proceeding forward for the last 2 years was to make the Senators work hard and sometimes on weekends and sometimes really late!!!
Who knew!!!
