it's up to us. Dean didn't create a movement, he was annointed by the movement to be it's leader. There are some pictures up at BFA of the evening at Stubb's, which is where Dean was presented with the signitures from the "Dean speaks for me" petition. Check out the first picture of Howard, he looks a bit awed, and humbled. He isn't Elmer Gantry, he is the real deal, he has been
called.

One of the posts lower down reports that it was clear who the crowd had come to see, and there were even chants of "Howard" at one point. He is the heart and soul of the Democratic party right now, but always a bit suprised by the reception he gets.
Dean didn't think much of the idea of being chair at first either, he only started thinking about it seriously after finding out his base wanted it.
And in my view, many people wanted Howard as chair because they wanted to have him leading
now. 4 years from now? To long to wait. The grassroots spoke and Howard listened, afterall what choise does he have? We hired him, it is up to us to give him new assignments.
But what happens when it is 2007? Are people going to happily let go of Howard and get behind another potential Kerry campaign?
I don't know, but I do know it is up to us.
