I know better than to turn on “Morning Joe” but I was awake early and nothing else of interest was on. I know I can expect little but idiotic comments from Joe Scarborough but at least he can get the blood rushing to my head.
When I started watching, they were running some of the tape from yesterday’s revealing conversation between Gov. Walker and “David Koch.” I had neither seen nor heard this bit of the conversation before in which Walker was talking about MSNBC and that “Morning Joe” the one show he could watch was because Joe was always receptive to him. Walker seemed to be offended that Joe had also talked with Sen. Schumer who had apparently ragged on him. There was also a brief comment about how hot Mika was. Gagging noise from my chair.
After the tape finished, Joe turned to Donnie Deutsch and said, “I don’t see that Gov Walker has anything to lose by the release of the tape.” Donnie responded that he thought Walker was “sleazy” and “that I disliked him going in and loathed him going out.”
Pat Buchanan was also a guest (I can only watch Pat with the mute button engaged) and he commented that he thought Walker could do himself a service by giving something to the unions rather than being so stubborn.
Just as I was preparing to turn the show off, Norah O’Donnell came on with the breaking news that the Wisconsin state police were being sent to the homes of the absent Dem. Senators to force them to return to Madison. That naturally won’t work if they are still in Illinois. Donnie interrupted to question if he was the only one present who saw a problem with that tactic. Joe wasn’t bothered at all.
I’ve really gotta keep away from that show even though I generally don’t watch if he has booked guests that I know will make me crazy.
