For the first time I was one of the multitude enduring freezing temperatures to protest at the Wisconsin State Capitol yesterday!
I hadn't been able to make it before. When the protests began I wanted to pack up the wife and kids and head out. Unfortunately, my wife suffers from agoraphobia and anxiety disorder so the long trip and big crowds made that an impossibility. For similar reasons she didn't want me to leave her at home alone with the kids without a car, so I was kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Thursday afternoon as she was picking the kids up from school my wife learned that one of our kids' teachers had attended to marches 3 weeks in a row. When I dropped the kids off Friday morning I made all the necessary arrangements and had my ride.
So I hitched a ride with this gang of "union thugs" and allowed my self to be trucked in as an "outside agitator" from Kenosha County!
When I got my first gander at the so called "farmers" I could tell they weren't for real. Just look at the leader of this group! She learned everything she knows about farming from Mr. Greenjeans as a kid! Just look at those pants she's wearing... Talk about an obvious plant!
They were followed quickly by a group of militants from some sort of paramilitary organization.
Then they had some blond bombshell supermodel dressed like a farmer riding on an antique tractor. McCormick... Who ever heard of them? I bet they never made anything!
This goon has troublemaker written all over him! Where'd they get these people, Central Casting?
Just look at the blatant lawlessness on display here! The pedestrians trying to get to the Capitol have the right-of-way as indicated by the green light, but do you think the hooligan in the giant piece of farm equipment cares? Nope... He just wantonly barrels through a red light at 2 mph!!!!
I couldn't figure out what Herbie the Love Bug was doing there, until...
I witnessed the indoctrination of the children. This shady character with the sunglasses has his kids so well trained that the little girl noticed me right away. I didn't get a look at what her real sign said (probably something hateful) she kept it covered up by one of the mass produced signs that blanketed the Capitol yesterday.
Everybody was trying to keep those on the down low, though...
My "union thug" handlers kept a close eye on me the whole time.
I did manage to break away for a few minutes to document the damage and vandalism that was being perpetrated on the Capitol grounds.
Then Senate Minority Leader Mark Miller (D-16) attempted to incite the crowd to violence!
I didn't manage to get any pictures of Tony Shaloub or The Reverend Jesse Jackson, so we'll never know if they were actually there. After the rally my comrades and I enjoyed some adult beverages at an establishment called "WOOFS"... I highly recommend it to anyone who visits Madison!! :)
