This sounds like very good news:
Researchers found an "electronic nose" was able to identify chemical signals of cancer in the breath of patients with lung or head and neck cancer.

The testing was done with a small group in Israel. Studies with larger groups, over years, will be needed before any test will be available for use by the medical community.
Evidently, there is an urgency in developing such a test, as these type of cancers can be harder to diagnose at early enough stages to be successfully treated.
Lead researcher, Professor Hossam Haick, said: "There's an urgent need to develop new ways to detect head-and-neck cancer because diagnosis of the disease is complicated, requiring specialist examinations.
Let's hope they are successful soon, so that lives can be saved from these horrible cancers.
