Mitch Daniels, the Republican governor of Indiana, said in an e-mail late Saturday night that he would not run for president in 2012. The decision, he said, came after discussions with his family. “What could have been a complicated decision was in the end very simple: on matters affecting us all, our family constitution gives a veto to the women’s caucus, and there is no override provision,” he wrote. “Simply put, I find myself caught between two duties. I love my country; I love my family more.”
"I love it when the skeptics want to criticize me because of lack of foreign policy experience ... On Sunday morning, though, he came up blank when asked by Fox News host Chris Wallace about the Palestinian right of return. “The right of return," Cain asked, pausing before asking again. [...] Democratic Sens. Tom Hancock and Joe Seng, who broke ranks with their caucus to force a bill placing ban on abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy from committee, were provided no preferential treatment by the conservatives. “We have been blocked at every turn by the 26 Democrat Senators, including so-called pro-life Democrats Joe Seng and Tom Hancock,” notes the message.

Senate Democrats say approval will be difficult to obtain because the need for such clinics will be a hard sell; however, Republicans countered that the bill does not ban any type of abortion in the state..
