Eighth district of Illinois representative Teabagger Joe Walsh (R-Nutjob) in his first, and likely only, term in the House, tries to out Aipac Aipac. Walsh, who is not Jewish, is ticked off because Jews in the U.S. are apparently not pro-Israel enough. He chalks it up to their being "liberal," and wanting peace, and believing, incorrectly Crazy Joe's view, that the Palestinians are "victims of Israeli occupation."
More on Crazy Joe's ramblings below.
President Obama has effectively abandoned the 50-year-old U.S. alliance with Israel.
So, where is the outrage from the American Jewish community? Don’t they understand that the president is not pro-Israel? Aren’t they troubled by his history of pro-Palestinian writings, speeches, and actions? The short answer is that most American Jews are liberal, and most American liberals side with the Palestinians and vague notions of “peace” instead of with Israel’s wellbeing and security. Like the president, the U.N., and most of Europe, too many American Jews aren’t as pro-Israel as they should be and too many share his belief that the Palestinians are victims of Israeli occupation. Nothing could be further from the truth.
If we want peace in the Middle East, we need a paradigm shift. The U.S. can no longer be an honest broker, a “referee” between two opposing sides. That mindset has gotten us nowhere.

The U.S. an "honest broker"? That would be news to most of the world. But the main point here is that Crazy Joe has concluded, without any statistical support, that most U.S. Jews are pro-Palestinian. After all, if "most American Jews are liberal, and most American liberals side with the Palestinians," therefore, ipso facto, there must be a decent chance that most Jews side with the Palestinians. At least in Crazy Joe World.
As much as I, as a Jew who tends to "side with the Palestinians," would like that to be true, even I don't believe that's anywhere close to the truth. But then again, I'm not a nutty teabagger, like Joe.
With Democrats controlling re-districting in Illinois, Crazy Joe's days on capitol hill are likely numbered. He'll probably be packing up back to Illinois come the end of 2012. What a shame. Washington's loss will be Illinois's loss.
