I know the whole helicopter/limo fiasco has been covered already. But the utter travesty is not that Christie cost the NJ tax payers at least $2,500 for the helicopter ride to watch five innings of his son's baseball game (not sure what the cost of a 100 yd. ride in a limo is worth plus time of State Police) it is what he is proposing in his budget regarding slashes in Medicaid.
He is proposing to lower the eligibility
from the current maximum income of $24,645 to $5,317 a year for a family of three. . . . That is about a third of the poverty level.

Ok, let's see, that means a family of three is expected to survive on $14.57 per day. Christie spends almost half the proposed maximum income eligibility in what? An hour? Two?
This mentality is beyond a travesty, it is utterly depraved. What the hell does he think is going to happen to these families earning say $6,000 when they get sick and/or dispossessed? Oh, right, then they will be eligible because whomever is working a low wage job most likely won't be able to get to work because they will be on the streets or living in a homeless shelter.
Here's one of the great white hopes for the Republican Party. Fat cat Iowan donors were begging him to run -- because his idea for the New Jersey working poor would be excellent for the nation.
Ok, New Jersey, you love your lower gas prices. You didn't want to increase the gas tax. Enjoy your long rides past Hoovervilles.
I get more disgusted by the day.
